Our client wanted answers to questions like these. As the largest ice manufacturer in the country, they hired LiveLogic to develop an enterprise-wide set of reporting and analysis tools. We expanded and enhanced their existing data warehouse, built automated parameter-driven batch reports, and developed and delivered
training company-wide.

LiveLogic built a new system using AS/400 as the source system, SQL Data Transformation Services, SQL Server, Analysis Services, and ProClarity, both thick client and web versions. A custom-built Excel Report Writer was developed to automate the monthly batch reports.

Data sources: sales data from internal database and weather data from NOAA

Report book automatically generated within minutes of month-end
Detailed analysis by customer, product, factory, delivery route and method, weather (temperature, rainfall, rain days, variance from norm, etc.), geography
